Terms & Conditions

Last updated: November 4, 2025

Welcome to MeanAbsoluteDeviationCalculator.com (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using this site, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1) What this service is

We provide a free, general-purpose statistics tool to compute the Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) about the mean, along with helper metrics (e.g., mean and sample size). The interface accepts numbers separated by commas, spaces, or new lines, and treats each non-empty line as a separate dataset. Results update instantly as you type, and the Digits control adjusts display precision.

2) What this service is not

  • No statistical, academic, financial, or professional advice is provided. Content is for informational and educational use only.
  • We do not guarantee fitness for any specific purpose (e.g., grading, audits, compliance, or scientific publication).

3) Your responsibilities

  • Use the calculator lawfully and responsibly.
  • Verify results before using them in coursework, research, reports, or decisions.
  • Do not disrupt, abuse, scrape at scale, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Respect rate limits and our infrastructure.

4) Rounding, precision & multi-dataset behavior

  • Display precision: the Digits control affects displayed rounding only; minor differences can appear relative to your own tools due to rounding conventions.
  • Multiple datasets: each non-empty line is interpreted as a separate dataset; the “All numbers” aggregate may also be shown for convenience.
  • Clipboard: “Copy results” places a TSV table onto your device’s clipboard; you are responsible for where you paste/share it.

5) Intellectual property

The site’s design, text, and code are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute substantial portions without permission, except as allowed by fair use or applicable law.

6) Third-party and related tools

We may link to other tools or references (e.g., a separate median absolute deviation calculator). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

7) No warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that results will be accurate for your specific circumstances or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the site.

9) Changes to the service and terms

We may modify or discontinue any part of the site. We may update these Terms at times; material changes may be announced on the site. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

10) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of laws. Venue and jurisdiction will be in courts located in Pakistan, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
